She also loved watching school sports and was fondly known by everyone as “Grandma.” Manuela enjoyed playing lotería and going to the casinos. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Abel Castillo; her daughter, Yolanda Garza; her parents, Jesus Rodriguez and Concepción Rodriguez; and her siblings, Teresa DelBosque, Jose Maria Rodriguez, Amado Rodriguez, and Reynaldo Rodriguez.

She is survived by her children: Josie (Joe) Salazar, Maria (Ruben) Bueno, Margie (Robert) Hernandez; She helped raise Mandy Castillo, and Homer Garza; brother, Jesus Rodriguez; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will continue to carry on her legacy.
