Lydia Parras

Lydia R. Parras, 73, passed away on November 29, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on January 12, 1946 in Bishop, Texas to Julio Reyna and Tomasita Rodriguez Reyna. She was a great cook and was known for her tamales. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Christobal Parras Sr., and son, Mark A. Parras.

Lydia is survived by her companion of 33 years, Hector De Luna of Bishop, Tx, her children, Flory Rivera (Jimmy Rivera) of Bishop, Tx, Christobal (Dina) Parras Jr. of Edinburg, Tx, Robert (Virginia) Parras of Ricardo, Tx, and Julie Parras of Albuquerque, NM. Twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5p.m. – 9p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
