Luis Rojas, 63, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on August 8, 1963, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Arturo P. Rojas and Oralia Gomez Rojas.

Luis was a hardworking and loving man who took pride in taking care of his family. He worked as a self-employed painter and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to get his hands dirty.

When he wasn’t working, Luis enjoyed taking care of his yard and staying busy around the house. He also enjoyed family gatherings, barbecues, and watching football with his sons. Some of his happiest times were simply being at home and surrounded by the people he loved.

Luis graduated from Bishop High School. He was a caring husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He had a kind heart, enjoyed the simple things in life, and cared deeply for those around him.

Luis was preceded in death by his father, Arturo P. Rojas, and his sister, Emeralda (Hector) Galindo.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura M. De La Paz Rojas; his sons, Luis Rojas Jr. and Michael Rojas; his mother, Oralia Gomez Rojas; his brothers, Art (Sally) Rojas and Javier Rojas; and his sisters, Edna (Martin) Rodriguez, Yolanda Rojas (Joe Fonseca), Nelda (Eddie) Ortiz, and Yvonne (Ruben) Tamez.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Luis will be remembered for the way he lived his life: working hard, caring for his family, and finding happiness in the simple moments they shared together.

He will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
