Luciano M. Cantu, a retired barber and cherished family figure, passed away on December 21, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 64. Born on October 27, 1961, in Altus, Oklahoma, Luciano embraced life with a kind and welcoming spirit, always making those around him feel at ease. His warm demeanor was complemented by a great sense of humor, which endeared him to family and friends alike.

Luciano was not only a skilled barber who served his community with pride; for 10 years, he also worked as a security guard, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. Luciano embodied the essence of family, he was a devoted father figure to four children, who were at the core of his life. He passionately believed in the power of family and dedicated himself tirelessly to creating a loving and supportive home.

His commitment to his family was reflected in the wonderful stories and advice he so generously shared, along with the warm hugs he bestowed upon them.

An avid Dallas Cowboy fan, Luciano found joy in family barbecues, where laughter and love filled the air. Music played an important role in his life, especially rock and roll, and he found peace in fishing, seizing every opportunity to cast a line wherever a fishing pole could be used. Luciano was affectionately known within his family as "Swiper, no Swiping," a nickname that highlights the playful spirit he brought into their lives.

Luciano's life as a testament to love, family and perseverance. As we remember Luciano M. Cantu, let us carry forth the warmth of his spirit, the wisdom of his words, and the laughter that filled his presence. His legacy, rooted in love and kindness, will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel Cantu and Sara (Medrano) Cantu; and siblings, Maria Cantu, Fiel Cantu, Jose Angel Cantu, Jr, Larry Cantu, and Gilbert Cantu.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Estella Cantu; children, Daisy (Ector) Garibay, April (Juan) Garcia, Lorena Ibanez, Princeton Wood, Dakota Jo Ibanez, and Jeremiah Lee; siblings, Ernesto (Zulema) Cantu and Yolanda Luera; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude that evening.
