Obituary

Louis “Belo” Gajdos, 79, of Robstown, Texas, passed away on August 8th, 2026. Belo was a devoted Catholic whose faith remained an important part of his life. He proudly served in the Army National Guard.

He was best known as a landman for over four decades and owned his own business, Right of Way Title, LLC. Throughout his career, he worked on many projects, including the Mary Rhodes Project. Belo was respected in his field for his knowledge, dedication, and professionalism. He had a personable way about him and a gift for making people feel at ease. He will be remembered for his faith, his work ethic, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew and loved him.

Belo was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Louis Gajdos; and by his beloved daughter, Nona Marie Gajdos, whose memory he carried with him always.

He is survived by his only sister, Linda Gay Gajdos Daniels; nieces, Robin (Charles) Cain and Gay Lynn (Jon) Whittington and their families; along with Deborah Pattillo, with whom he shared a close and meaningful bond; Gina Dear, whom he loved and regarded as a daughter; and Jared Gonzalez, whom he saw as a grandson.

A holy rosary will be recited on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Boulevard, Kingsville, Texas 78363. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, on September 12, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 204 Palm Avenue, Vattmann/Riviera, Texas, 78379; with burial and a meal to follow at the parish hall.
