Lawrence Scott

Lawrence “Larry” R. Scott, passed away on April 26, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born in Johnson City, NY in 1947; and joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. Larry worked to get his bachelor’s in business during his time in the Navy and moved back in 1989 from California, before he retired as a Chief in 1991. He was an avid bass fisherman, loved his fur baby Bridgette, was president of the local bird club; and they also raised parrots, and later opened a parrot business, ClasyBirds. Larry loved working in the garden with his wife, as well as supporting her at bowling tournaments.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Copp and Russell Scott; and brother, Doug Scott and son Lawrence Scott.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Cheryl Scott; sister, Kathy Mott, twin brother and sister, Dean Scott and Debbie Greene .

A chapel service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. A rite of committal and interment with military honors will follow at 1:00PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX
