Juan Gualberto Lozano Jr., 66, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Kingsville, Tx. He was born on September 19, 1952 in Tacoma, Washington to Juan Gualberto Lozano, Sr. and Soila Hinojosa Lozano. Juan graduated Salutatorian from H.M. King High School in 1970, from there he went on to graduate from Texas A&I University with a BA degree in Music. He was a member, chapter president and Alumni of Phi Ma Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity, Pi Chi Chapter. He was a Christus Spohn Hospital-Kleberg Volunteer of which, he was the Treasurer. He played piano and oboe for many musicals and opera productions and Texas A&I University and the Harbor Playhouse in Corpus Christi. He was an organist for several local churches and played for numerous wedding and funerals for over 40 years. He was a retired Educator who taught over 29 years at Memorial Middle school, Kleberg Elementary, and Ricardo ISD. In retirement he continued his love for music helping many performers at Texas A&M Kingsville Music Department as an accompanist and mentor.
Juan is preceded in death by his mother, Soila Hinojosa Lozano.
He is survived by his father, Juan G. Lozano Sr., brothers and sisters, Federico (Susan) Lozano, Margarita L. (Luis) Salinas, Ernesto (Del) Lozano, Alberto (Stacy) Lozano, and Jeffrey (Roxann) Lozano.
Rosary will be recited on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church in Kingsville, Texas.
