Jose Hilario Trevino, Sr.

In loving memory of Jose Hilario Trevino, Sr., a dedicated groundskeeper who spent 25 years nurturing the outdoor spaces he cared for, we gather to honor his life and legacy. With heavy hearts, we announce his passing on February 29, 2024.

Jose was known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to his profession. His time as a groundskeeper not only showcased his skills but also reflected his humble and hardworking nature. Beyond his career, Jose was a man of many admirable qualities - he was strong yet gentle, loving, and caring to all who knew him. Born on October 19, 1955, Jose cherished the simple joys of life. He found solace in BBQing at home, savoring a cold beer, and relishing a quiet moment with a smoke in hand. These moments brought him happiness amidst the demands of everyday life.

Jose joins in eternal rest with his father Natalio Guadalupe Trevino and one great-granddaughter.

Although Jose has left this earthly realm, he will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife Maria Gloria Munoz; children Jose M. Espinoza, Sr., Jose H. (Claudia) Trevino, Jr., Rogelio (Belinda) Orta, Imelda Case, Anna (Jack) Wright, Lisa Watkins, and Jessica (Juan) Garcia; mother Maria Lydia Martinez; siblings Jose Guadalupe (Dora) Trevino, Sr., Perfecto (Olga) Trevino, Juan Jose (Nora) Trevino, Sr., Cosme (Aida) Trevino, Mario Canuto Trevino, Sr., Maria Dolores (Hippie) Gonzalez, and Jose Alfredo (Teresa) Trevino; along with 31 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 8 nephews, 5 nieces, and numerous extended family members.

Services to celebrate the life of Jose Hilario Trevino, Sr., will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. A visitation will take place on March 4th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St Martin Catholic Church on March 5th at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Resthaven Cemetery at 11:15 AM.

In honoring the life of Jose Hilario Trevino, we remember a man of dedication and love whose memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him. May he rest in peace knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
