Jose Moreno Jr.

Jose Moreno Jr. passed away on June 29, 2020 in Kingsville, Texas. He  was born on July 20, 1944 in Kingsville, Texas to Jose and Concepcion Moreno.

Jose was known as Pepe to his close family and as Joe to his many friends. He spent many years as an Industrial painter at the Celanese- Mundy Plant, and was finally able to enjoy retirement along side with his trusty companion Buster.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; stepmother, Magdalena Moreno; and his brother, Pedro Moreno.

He is survived by his daughter, Maribel “Marty” Villarreal (Richard), her son, Rory Garcia, and his great-granddaughter, Ambrielle Garcia; daughter, Missy Valdez (Hugo) of Harlingen, Texas, her daughters, Micah Valdez, Mckayla Valdez, and Miranda Rodriguez; son, Joe Gonzalez of Kingsville, Texas; stepson, Ramon Gonzalez (Blanca) of Kingsville, Texas, and his children, Melissa Barett (William) and Ramon Gonzalez III (Cathy); and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020. Burial will be held at a later date.
