Jose Estrada, born on March 19, 1934, passed away on April 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by his dedication and passions. With a career spanning many years in leather works, Jose devoted himself to a craft that reflected his meticulous nature and skillful hands.

Beyond his professional life, Jose was a man of diverse interests. He found joy in working with leather, which remained a lifelong passion, alongside gardening, where he nurtured life with care and patience. Socially, he enjoyed the spirited games of loteria and bingo, engaging in moments of friendship. Music was a cherished part of his life; he loved listening and dancing, especially with his companion of 11 years, Lupe, sharing moments filled with rhythm and affection. His evenings were often spent watching Spanish novelas, a favorite pastime that brought stories and culture into his home. True to form, Jose never missed a trip to Walmart, a simple pleasure that punctuated his routine.

Jose Estrada's life was one marked by dedication, warmth, and a profound appreciation for the simple and meaningful pleasures. He will be remembered with respect and fondness by those who knew him.

He preceded in death by his companion, Lupe Bazan.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Luis Estrada, Geovanni Estrada, Jose Estrada, Yesenia Estrada, and Dayanie Estrada; step-daughters, Marylou Garza and Norma (Steve) Corona; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a memorial rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude that evening.
