Johnnie Mark Brysch, a man of exceptional intelligence and unwavering integrity, has departed this world on November 2nd, 2023, leaving behind a profound legacy etched into the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on January 21, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, John's life journey was one marked by dedication, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to the safety of others.

With over forty years of illustrious service as a Safety Supervisor for Exxon Natural Gas on King Ranch, John showcased his remarkable expertise in safeguarding the well-being of his colleagues and the environment. His meticulous attention to detail and unwavering determination instilled a sense of security within those around him. By devoting himself to such a noble profession, he not only protected lives but also ensured that countless individuals returned home safely each day.

John's thirst for knowledge led him to pursue higher education at Texas A&M - Kingsville where he attained his bachelor’s degree. This academic achievement equipped him with the skills he would later utilize throughout his extensive career. His unwavering pursuit of excellence set an example for aspiring professionals in his field and beyond.

Beyond his professional achievements, John's personality radiated warmth and kindness. He embodied thoughtfulness and generosity in every aspect of his life. Always ready with a helping hand or a kind word, he touched countless lives with his selflessness. His gentle nature fostered meaningful connections with family members, friends, and coworkers alike. He will be remembered as someone who went above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him.

Outside of work, John indulged in a multitude of hobbies that brought him great pleasure. An avid hunter with an admirable sense of conservationism, he approached his pursuits in nature with utmost respect for its delicate balance. Camping provided him solace amidst the beauty of the great outdoors, offering a break from the demands of daily life. John's fascination with astronomy and bird watching allowed him to marvel at the wonders of the universe and appreciate the delicate intricacies of avian life. Stimulating his mind through reading and finding excitement in car races brought him moments of joy and fulfillment.

With his departure, John leaves a void that cannot be filled. However, his memory will forever serve as a beacon of inspiration for all those whose lives he touched. His kindness, wisdom, and commitment to safety will continue to guide us in our own endeavors.  A gracious soul has embarked upon its eternal journey. May we find solace in cherishing the memories we shared with Johnnie Mark Brysch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Brysch; parents, Ernest and Margaret Brysch; and sister, Lorraine Brehm.

 

Among those left to cherish his memory are his son, John Eric Brysch; brother, Ernest Jr., (Sandra) Brysch and Gene (Karen) Brysch; nieces and nephews, Bryan Brysch, Amanda Moody, Brandon Brehm, Stephanie Brysch, and Paul Brysch; and many friends.

 

The family will receive condolences from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a eulogy at 11:00 a.m.  Service will conclude that afternoon.
