Jesus Gallardo, Jr., born on July 14, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. He was a devoted husband, a proud veteran, and a dedicated worker whose legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.
Jesus dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country in the United States Marines, a testament to his commitment and patriotism. After his military service, he began a rewarding career at NAS-Kingsville, where he worked diligently from 1985 until his retirement in 2020. His contributions to the community and his work ethic were admired by colleagues and peers alike.
He was a steadfast and loving husband, having spent 37 wonderful years with his beloved wife. Jesus took great pride in his family, valuing every moment spent together. His heart also held a special affection for his fur-baby, Max, who brought him much joy and companionship.
Those who knew Jesus experienced a multifaceted personality. He was a stern and strict man, yet displayed a playful side with friends, often sharing jokes and tales that reflected his great sense of humor. Humble and modest, Jesus enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. His interests included watching old westerns, military movies, and science fiction films, complemented by his love for the great outdoors through activities such as fishing, hunting, and spending time at the shooting range.
Jesus Gallardo, Jr.'s presence will be deeply missed, but his memories will endure in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of love, humor, and dedication will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Sr. and Guadalupe Gallardo; and sister, Yolanda Gonzalez.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Margie Gallardo; brother, Raul Gallardo; sisters, Consuelo (Mario) Sanchez, Yvonne Perez, and Delphine (Carlos) Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A rite of committal with military honors will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Tx.
