Jesse Mcfarland

Jesse Lee McFarland 78, a resident of San Antonio, Texas and former resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 in Universal City, Texas. Jesse was born April 23, 1940 in Oklahoma. He was married to Mary Ann McFarland in 1959. They had four children: Sandy, Terri, Debbie, and Jesse Jr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann McFarland; parents, William McFarland and Sarah McFarland; brother, Jimmy McFarland and daughter, Debbie McFarland.
He is survived by his two daughters, Terri Yaklin (Greg) and Sandy Hogan (Steve); son, Jesse Jr. McFarland (Lisa); son-in-law, Dean Poland; grandchildren, John Hogan, Douglas Yaklin (Jennifer), Dustin Yaklin, Lauren Wolfe (Matt), Kristen Clark (Charles) and Chelsey McFarland; great-grandchildren, Emma Miller, Payton Wolfe, Lane Clark, Case Clark, Ethan Yaklin, Peyton Yaklin, and Jordan Yaklin; sister,JoAnn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jesse was a caring and giving person, loved by all who knew him. Jesse was an avid sports fan, mentoring for community youth sports. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing dominos with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all friends, family and community members.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 with a Funeral Service following at 10 a.m. that same day at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery with Military Honors.
