Jenaro Gonzalez, Sr.

Jenaro C. Gonzalez, 79, of Bishop, TX. Passed away on February 2, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1943, in Goliad Tx to Santiago and Dominga Gonzalez.  He was a retired truck driver after 64 years of service with numerous companies. He was a member of Templo Galilea Church in Bishop where he would sing the word of God and deliver messages. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and working on his trucks. He was well known for his joking personality and contagious smile and laughter. He was a very proud father, grandfather, uncle & loyal friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jasmine Gonzalez; grandson, Nathan Goff; parents, Santiago and Dominga Gonzalez; siblings, Anita Gonzalez, Nicholas De Luna, Jose Gonzalez, Richard Gonzalez, and Pablo De Luna.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ruth (Juan†) Beltran, Jenaro Jr. (Christy) Gonzalez, Sylvia (Jesus) Santos, Rene Santiago Gonzalez, Saul (Ruth) Gonzalez, Josue Gonzalez, and Chriselda Gonzalez; siblings, Eziquel (Amelia) Gonzalez and Lucia (Manuel†) Casa; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 PM.  A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Templo Galilea in Bishop, TX.  A Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Evangelico Cemetery, Bishop, TX.
