James J. Scott Jr., born on June 4, 1935, in Washington, DC, passed away on January 13, 2026.

James is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Ball) Scott, and is survived by his four children who is shared with his late wife, Kirk Scott, Terri (Bill) Burdett, Bruce Scott, and Dana (Lance) Lutenbacher. He was a devoted brother to Steve (Mary) Scott. He is survived with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his niece.

James was predeceased by his father, James J. Scott, and his mother, Cecil Scott. He also mourned the loss of his first wife, Sue (Hock) Scott.

A celebration of James' life will take place on January 23, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas. The family will gather for a time of remembrance beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by a heartfelt Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Immediately following, James will then be laid to rest at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville Texas.

James J. Scott Jr. will be remembered for his warmth, his unwavering support for those he loved his family and friends.
