Irene Garza

Irene G. Garza, age 90, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Kingsville. She was born January 3, 1927 in Kingsville to Arnulfo Gonzalez and Maria Cantu Gonzalez. Mrs. Garza was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo A. Garza; and two daughters, Tomasita G. DelMoral and Marianela G. Silguero.
Irene is survived by two daughters, Naida G. Medina of Katy, Texas and Irene G. Barrientes (Ruben) of Kingsville; two sons, Alfredo Garza Jr. (Diane) of Midland, Texas and Zaragosa Garza (Shana) of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; one sister, Ofelia G. Garza of Kingsville; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Joe Ruiz at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
