Ignacio Hinojosa, Sr.

Ignacio Montalvo Hinojosa, age 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 in Kingsville. He was born March 7, 1927 in Sarita, Texas to Augustine and Juanita Hinojosa. He was employed for the city of Kingsville Water Department for 37 years. He was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America and a World War II veteran.
Mr. Hinojosa was preceded in death by a brother, Enrique Hinojosa; and two sisters, Evangelia Silvas and Enriqueta Salinas; and son, Rodolfo Gaytan.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years of marriage, Antonia Hinojosa; siblings, Augustine (Consuelo) Hinojosa of Ricardo, Texas, Evangelina Cruz and Nestor (Viola) Hinojosa, both of Kingsville and Janie (Paul) Bloomer of Corpus Christi, Texas; children, Lucy Gaytan of San Marcos, Texas, Fred Gaytan and Ignacio Hinojosa Jr., both of Kingsville; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Jehovah's Witnesses Spanish Congregation, Kingsville.
