Gracie Robles, 67, a resident of Premont, Texas was called to Heaven on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2020. She entered the world on May 27, 1952, in San Benito, Texas born to the late Benito Saldana and Rachel Garza Saldana.
She accomplished many great things throughout her life and left with a full heart having had a long career at Christus Spohn Kleberg for over 30 years as a Respiratory Therapist, as well as persevering through many of life’s adversities surviving breast cancer in 2005. Those who met Gracie were often treated to learn about what mattered most to her, and that was indeed her family. Her name was undeniably representative of how she approached life—full of grace. Mom knew no stranger and treated those whom she met with dignity and respect. She happily shared stories with those who spent time with her, often imparting wisdom, food for thought, or just to leave you with a good memory to have. Whether you were hungry, Gracie, who was a phenomenal and creative cook, loved to treat anybody to a good meal. And before you could leave or hang-up, you would get the best hug or goodbye from her making sure that you knew to be careful, have fun in life, and that she loved you.
Gracie Robles was a remarkable person in life and continues to be one from Heaven.
She is survived by her three sons, Juan Miguel Badillo, Alex Gabriel Robles, and Jose Benito “JB” Robles; daughter-in-law, Greta Garcia-Robles; grandchildren, Alex Badillo, Trinity Ilene Robles, and Jose Christian “JC” Robles; siblings, Benito Saldana, Leovaldo Saldana, and Gloria Walker; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was greeted in Heaven surrounded by those who went before her, husband Jose Alejandro Robles; her parents; brother Frankie Saldana; grandparents; and others whom she loved very much.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
