Gloria Rios

Gloria Almaraz Rios, age 75, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born July 31, 1937 in Hebbronville, Texas to Eluterio Almaraz and Herminia Gonzales Almaraz. Mrs. Rios was employed at Anthonys and Bealls Clothing Department in Kingsville until her retirement. In her early years, she was employed at Rancho DriveIn Movie Theater, Kingsville. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and St. Josephs Altar Society.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents son, Gabriel A. Rios four sisters, Luz Mejia Mora, Herminia Almaraz, Victoria Garcia and Antonia Garcia and brother, Israel Almaraz.
Mrs. Rios is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roberto G. Rios of Kingsville two sons, Daniel Rios Dorothy of Kingsville and Leroy Rios Debbie of San Antonio, Texas two sisters, Elva Hoffstetter Carl of Sejita, Texas and Albeza Hoffstetter of Alice, Texas six grandchildren, Danielle Rios Joey A., Leroy Rios Jr. Kimberly, Robert Rios, Diana Rios, Meagan Rios Ryan G. and Dina Rios and five greatgrandchildren, Joe Gabriel and Kandace Avelar, Aliandra Rios, Jeremy and Connor Goree.
Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
