George Johnson

George Van Johnson, age 84, of Kingsville passed away on February 17, 2019 in Portland, Texas. He was born on October 8, 1934 to Rose Minnie Johnson. He was a retired painter and formerly employed with Kerr McGee Corp at Southwestern Refinery.
George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Babe Custer Johnson, three children, Marcia Thurmond, Ruthie (Mike) Timberlake, and Robert (Liz) Johnson, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5p.m.- 9p.m at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Services are on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
