George Crocker

George Kim Crocker, 68, of Riviera, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and sons. With his final breath, he joyfully declared, “Yeehaw, I made it, it’s done! It’s beautiful and amazing!”—a testament to his deep Christian faith and assurance of eternal life in heaven. Born in Kingsville, Texas, George grew up on a ranch in Kenedy County before moving to Riviera at the age of 6, where he lived for the rest of his life.

A true jack-of-all-trades and skilled handyman, George could fix or build just about anything with patience, ingenuity, and a steady hand. He proudly served the community as a Patrol Commander with the Kingsville Police Department, retiring after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Retirement, however, never meant slowing down for George. He remained tirelessly active, tackling projects around the house and lending his expertise to help his son build a family home.

George is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Melanie Crocker; sons Matthew Crocker, Jared Crocker, and Jason Crocker (Danielle); cherished granddaughter Reagan; mother Agnes Crocker; brothers Vern Crocker (Therese) and Vance Crocker (Lynn); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his kindness, humor, and helping spirit.

A private ceremony will be held by family members to celebrate his life. George’s legacy of hard work, faith, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Yeehaw, indeed—you made it, and we’ll see you again.
