Faye Hudson Baker, age 74, a resident of Kingsville, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 18, 2019. Faye was born on June 29, 1944 in Linden, Alabama to Margaret Elizabeth and Dozier Bonner Hudson. Faye and her husband Gary Baker were former owners of Nolan's Steakhouse, Plantation South Restaurant, and Baker's Steakhouse. She was an excellent cook and loved hunting and fishing. Faye also enjoyed making pottery, stained glass windows, and painting. Faye was very active in Women's Club of Kingsville, her community and church, and an avid supporter of numerous charitable and civic organizations. She was a friend to everyone and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents Margaret Elizabeth and Dozier Bonner Hudson; her loving husband Gary Baker; and her three sisters Carolyn Hannes, Gwendolyn Evans, and Margaret Gail Brown.
Faye is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Leslie and Stanley Woelfel Jr. of Kingsville; her three grandsons Ryan (Meghan) Bull of Prosper, Texas, Reagan Bull of Grand Prairie, Texas, and William Farris of College Station, Texas; along with two great grandchildren Austin and Mckenzie Bull of Prosper, Texas. In addition, Faye is survived by her sister Meredean Shockome of Karnes City, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 521 East Doddridge, Kingsville, Texas.
