Eudelia Gutierrez

Eudelia Lala Davis Gutierrez, 84, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on April 30, 2019. She entered this world on June 14, 1934 in Rio Grande, Texas, born to Harry Davis and Antonia Cruz Miron. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She lived her life to the fullest, embracing every moment, especially with her beloved grandchildren. Always welcoming everybody/anybody into her home with open arms. Lala not only embraced life, she made it enjoyable. Lala understood the meaning of family and that we are stronger together and not apart. Eudelia Lala was the glue that held this family together. It is going to be hard to imagine the family without its Matriarch. So to say we are going to be lost without her is not an understatement. All that is known is that Grandma Lala, Mom, Tia, friend or whatever name that you know her by would want us to stay strong, love each other, care for one another and continue to keep the Family bond strong. Grandma's house is going to feel different from now on. It is going to lack that warmth and that beautiful smile that she would greet everyone with. So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to an incredible woman, Eudelia Lala Gutierrez. We love you!

She was proceeded in death by her Husband Victor Benigno Gutierrez Sr., both parents and her brother Harry Davis Jr. She is survived by her sister Cecilla Davis Rosa from Midland, Tx, daughters Palmira Elsie Garza (Kris Tubbs) from Stage Coach, Nevada, Eudelia G Jimenez (Carlos Jimenez) from Riviera, Tx, Ofelia G. Lopez (Jorge Lopez) from Orange, California, Benita G. Montemayor, Emma G Simms, Edna G Pena (Audon Pena) all from Riviera, Tx, Maria Lina Gutierrez from Sarita, Tx and her sons Joe D. Garza (Rosa Garza) Sacramento, California, Elias D. Gutierrez from Riviera, Tx, Seferino D. Gutierrez from Ricardo, Tx and Victor Benigno Gutierrez Jr. from Abiliene, Tx, numerous newphews and nieces, 25 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren that she loved all tremendously.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera.Interment will follow at Riviera Cemetery.
