Esequiel M. Ochoa, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Esequiel M. Ochoa, Jr., a dedicated Machinist at a Naval Base who passed away on June 8, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on September 21, 1966, in Kingsville, Texas, Esequiel was a beloved son, cherished brother, loyal partner, and dear friend to many.

Esequiel, known for his quick wit and sarcastic jokes never failed to bring smiles to those around him. His huge heart and caring nature endeared him to all had the pleasure of knowing him. Beyond his work, Esequiel found solace and joy in various activities such as working on his vehicles, attending outdoor concerts, cruising in his Harley Davidson truck, and passionately supporting his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. His adventurous spirit and love for life endeared him to many and created lasting memories for all who shared his passions.

Esequiel M. Ochoa, Jr.'s impact on those around him was profound, leaving a lasting imprint of laughter and love. May we find comfort in the cherished moments we shared with Esequiel as we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that touched us profoundly. Rest in peace, dear Esequiel M. Ochoa Jr., your laughter will echo through eternity.

In this time of loss, Esequiel is reunited with his father, Esequiel Ochoa, Sr.; mother, Lily Muniz; and sister, Barbie Ochoa in eternal peace. 

Among those left to cherish his memory are his life partner, Alicia Vega; brother, Paul Ochoa; and his beloved fur-baby, Casper, who brought him companionship and joy; four nephews; and numerous cousins, uncles, and aunts.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A chapel service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. A rite of committal and interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
