Emma Garza

Emma Garza, age 79, gained her angel wings on April 26, 2021. She was born on August 5, 1941, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

As a lifelong resident of Kingsville, Emma fell in love with Enrique P. Garza. She married in 1963, and together, they raised two beautiful children: Lisa and Edna.

Emma is survived by her husband of 58 years, Enrique; their two daughters, Lisa (Hector) Munoz, Edna (Richard) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Justin Munoz, Kayla Canales, and siblings Juan Gutierrez, Nasaria Garza, Desidoro Gutierrez, and Dominga Ledesma.

As a woman of immense faith, Emma’s light and smile lifted any room. With her endearing laughter, she touched the hearts of everyone she met.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 p.m. and the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
