Elva Delgado

Elva Natividad G. Delgado, 83, went to be with our Lord January 27, 2023. She was born on December 25, 1939. She was a beautiful loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Good Counsel and a faithful Catholic.

We will miss her soft gentle voice and giggle as well as her love for dancing to Spanish music.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jaime and Petra Garza; brother, Abraham Garza; sister, Romanita Amador; first husband, Samuel C. Silguero; second husband, Ramon Delgado; and her beautiful first grandchild, Jasmine Silguero.

Among those left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Ercilia "Sheila" Silguero Martinez and Elizabeth Silguero Hernandez (Juan); her only son Guadalupe Garza "Wally" Silguero (Christine) all of Kingsville, Tx; sister-in-law , Alicia C. Garza; grandchildren, Justin Silguero (Ana), Emily Rios, Michael Martinez, Natalie Arpero Hernandez (Luis), Maya Silguero and Samuel Silguero; one great- grandchild, Saul Silguero. She also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

A special thank you to Marcelina and Ermilio Mireles and family for taking such good care of our mother for the past 4 years.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Turcotte Piper Mortuary from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a holy rosary to recited at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
