Elisa Salazar

Elisa H. Salazar, age 94, a resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in Bishop. Born November 28, 1930 in Ben Bolt, Texas to Reynaldo Hinojosa and Manuela Eva Perez Hinojosa. Mrs. Salazar was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic church and involved with the Knights of Columbus Council #2623.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Santiago Salazar, Jr; son, Adrian Salazar; grandson, Troy Raymond; and sisters, Irma Hinojosa, Ovidia Buitron, and Minerva Wolf.

Mrs. Salazar is survived by her sister, Maria Adame; brother-in-law, Ron Wolf; children, Santiago (Linda) Salazar III of Espanola New Mexico, and their children; Gena and Tamera (Robert); Raynaldo (Karyn) Salazar of Bishop, Texas and their children; Leticia (Ryan Osborn) Salazar, Raynaldo (Laura Hernandez) Salazar Jr, and Addyson Salazar; Omar (Bonnie) Salazar of Beasley Texas and their son John Ross (Sunny) Wardlaw; Rosaura (David Caballero) Salazar of San Antonio, Texas and their children: Joseph Salazar and Hillary (Adrian Loredo) Caballero; Evie Salazar of Rosenberg, Texas, and her children: Eliza (Ruben Casarez) Cantu, Elanie (Enrique Gonzalez) Cantu, and Olivia (Adrian Hernandez) Edwards; and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. A mass of christian burial will be held in her honor on Thursday, August 21, 2025, starting at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, with a rite of committal and interment to follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
