Edward Meyer

Edward Paul Meyer, 84, of Ricardo, died Thursday, March 28, 2019, in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on December 21, 1934, in Alice, Texas to Paul H. Meyer and Mary A. Schroeder Meyer. Edward received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education from Texas A& I University in 1957. He sold his first John Deere tractor in 1959 and continued to sell tractors until he retired in 2015 from the John Deere Company at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Paula Elaine. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Meyer of Kingsville. Three daughters, Sharon Haffen (Paul) of Rochester, New York, Peggy Mirelez (Scott) of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Leslie Meyer of Brownsville, Texas. One son, Jeremy Meyer (Julie) of Kingsville, Texas. Thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingsville.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on April 1, 2019, at Turcotte Piper Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingsville. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.

Services have been entrusted to Turcotte Piper Mortuary.
