Edward Chambliss

Edward Earl Chambliss, age 84, went to be with our Lord on August 6, 2018. Edward was born on December 29, 1933 in Pettus, Texas to Carl Chambliss and Clara Frances Shipman. Edward was a resident of Kingsville, Texas. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran. After the Air Force, he became a welder and pipefitter in the oilfields. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church. He was a great husband, dad and grandfather with a great sense of humor. He loved the Houston Astros Baseball team and also enjoyed hunting. He loved spending time with his family and loved his dog "Biscuit" AKA Cujo. He was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Chambliss and Frances Wheat; twin sister, Edna Stone; and sister, Caryl Ager. He is also preceded in death by Eileen Chambliss. He is survived by wife, Bettye Kelly Chambliss; brother, Carl R. Chambliss; children: Judy Lynn Morales (Julio), Mary Frances Huff (Len), Edward Chambliss Jr (Annette), Caryl Chambliss, Melissa K. Fuchs (Stephen) and Denise M. Barrera (Gilbert); grandchildren, Nicholas Morales, Jeremy Morales (Lindsay), Megan Morales, Edward E. Chambliss III, Shelby Chambliss, Danielle Huff, Brandon Barrera, Brianna Barrera, Audrey Fuchs and Emily Fuchs; and one great-grandchild, Paisley Morales. He is also survived by numerous special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited that same evening at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel starting at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
