With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eduardo A. Perez Jr. who passed away peacefully at home on May 2nd at the age of 47, surrounded by loved ones.

Eduardo was born on January 5, 1979 in Kingsville to Eduardo and Selina Perez. He grew to be a man known for his kindness, strength, and generosity leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He dedicated much of his career to working as a correctional officer, most recently San Patricio County Sheriff's Office and previously at Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, a role that spoke to his resilience and sense of duty. Before that he worked in the oil and gas industry, where he developed the hardworking spirit he carried throughout his life.

Eduardo or as he was lovingly known by many Jr. was an avid fan of football, especially Alabama and the Buccaneers, even before Brady got there. He was a kind soul who was always welcoming and made those around him feel like family or a life long friend. His greatest joy in life was being a husband to Aissa and a father to Marcus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo G. Perez and Selina M. Perez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Aissa Trevino Perez and son Marcus Eduardo Perez, brothers Gilbert Perez of Mission Texas, and Ruben Perez of Kingsville, Texas and several nieces, nephews, and one great niece.

A visitation will take place to honor Eduardo's life on Monday May 11, 2026 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary starting at 5:00 PM followed by a holy rosary at 7:00 PM. Services will continue on Tuesday May 12, 2026 with a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with an internment to follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
