Edith Myers

Edith L. Myers, 89, passed away on September 30, 2019 In Kingsville, Texas. She was born on March 28, 1930 in Alabama, to Ruby and Alfred D. Colvin. She enjoyed the hair business and owned Edie’s Beauty shop for over 46 years. She loved to travel and was a faithful member of the Retama Park Baptist Church. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Myers, daughter, Christine Burt, grandchildren, Ricky Everett, and Donya Burt.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Everett, Kathy (David McCarty) Barnhardt, James (Ann) Burt, and Walter Burt, one sister, Jean Moore, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5p.m.-9p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
