Earl T. Ruscher died in Corpus Christi Texas on March 22, 2020 at the age of 75.
He entered the United States Navy in 1965. His duty stations included Agana, Guam, the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga and US Naval Station Quonset Point, Rhode Island where he met and married his wife of 47 years, Linda. They went on, together with their children, to stations in Rota, Spain, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and finally to NAS Kingsville where he retired after serving for 22 years.
He subsequently worked as an aircraft mechanic, a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and a security officer for Christus Spohn Kleberg Hospital.
He attended Oriskany High School in New York, obtained his H+GED, and earned an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice.
He is survived by wife, Linda, daughters Nancy (Jarrod) Katz of Spring Texas, Lorin Ruscher of Kingsville, and granddaughters Anastasia and Genevieve of Spring Texas.
Interment with full military honors will be held at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery
