Doris Louise "Corky" Peacock

Doris Louise "Corky" Peacock passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024. She was born to Virginia and Ezra Dodson on May 22, 1928, in San Benito, Texas. Corky was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kingsville for over 34 years where she served as a Deacon and was a member on many committees. She was also a member of TAMUK President's Circle; ran Amistad Thrift Store for 29 years; and was a member of the NOW Department of the Kingsville Women's Club.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Cdr. (USN) Kenneth Lawrence; second husband, Daniel Abel; parents; brother, John Dodson; son, Michael Lawrence; daughter, Amy Lawrence; stepson, John Peacock III; and sisters-in-law, Betty Gueder and Luella Dosser.

Corky is survived by her loving husband, J. Talmer Peacock Jr.; son Jeffrey Lawrence; son-in-law, Michael Morgan; stepdaughter, Sonja Perez (John); daughter-in-law, Donna Peacock; 6 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
