Domer Carl Black, 81, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend, was called to his eternal resting place on April 11, 2020. He entered this world on May 14, 1938 in Wheeling, West Virginia, born to Victor and Mary Black.
He never went by Domer. He was known as D.C or Carl. After serving 20 years in the Navy, Domer opened his own shop as a master mechanic. For years, DC would fly to different parts of the country to be chief mechanic on his brother's blown fuel flat bottom boat, then on blown fuel hydros until his brother's death. Domer retired from auto repair, but wasn't one to be idle so he went to work for a local dealership. He retired from the dealership 12 years ago and has been living the rest of his days with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Black, mother, Mary Black (Wilson), and Brother Thomas Black.
He is survived by his Wife, Alice Jane Black (McNair), his 2 daughters, Rebecca Lockwood (Karl Walkins) and Linda Youngblood (William Youngblood); sister Sherry Campbell (Black); grandkids Heather Lockwood (Chris Robinson), William Stetson Youngblood, Colten Youngblood, Katrina Youngblood and great-grandkids Carla, Brent, and Quinnley.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 1p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.
