Delfino Gomez, Jr.

Delfino Gomez, Jr., born on February 19, 1962, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and joy. Delfino, a self-taught mechanic who earned the reputation of being the best "single-handed" mechanic, showcased a determined spirit that inspired all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Delfino demonstrated a remarkable ability to overcome challenges, never allowing the loss of his hand to hinder his pursuits or dampen his enthusiasm for life. His dedication to his craft was evident not only in his skills as a mechanic but also in the way he approached every aspect of his existence—with joy and determination.

Beyond his remarkable career, Delfino cherished the moments spent with his family, particularly during weekends filled with barbecues and laughter. He was blessed with a warm personality that made him easy to talk to. Delfino had a gift for making people feel at ease, and his kindness was felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A natural jokester, he possessed a great sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him. His ability to connect with others meant that he never met a stranger; everyone was welcomed into his circle with open arms.

In addition to his passion for mechanics and family gatherings, Delfino enjoyed hobbies that brought him joy, including fishing and playing pool—where he proved to be one of the best despite being a one-handed player. In his younger years, he shared many hunting adventures with his father, further solidifying his love for the outdoors and the bonds of family

Delfino Gomez, Jr. is remembered not just for his talents and accomplishments, but for the love and laughter he brought into the lives of many. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him, as they remember a man who truly lived life to its fullest.
