Crystal Lea Willms Henke, 39, of Ricardo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2019, after a long illness.

Crystal was born on July 11, 1979 in Alice, Texas to Carl and Debbie (Meyer) Willms. She attended H. M. King High School in Kingsville, graduating in 1997, and then attended Texas A&M Kingsville, earning her Bachelor of Science in 2007. It was during this time she met Scott Henke and they married January 2008. She earned her Master of Science Degree with honors from the College of Education at Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2014. It was always her hope to work with children as a counselor either in a school setting or in private practice.

Preceding Crystal to her heavenly home are grandparents, Bill Meyer (Papa), Joan Willms (Grandma), and Charles Willms (Grandpa). Surviving and missing her everyday are husband Scott; sons, Cayden, Bryson, Grant, and Garrett (and family); parents, Carl and Debbie; sisters, Cara Bierschwale (Coal), Casey Deis (Rob), and Katie Faske (James);  grandmother Shirley Meyer (Nana); parents-in-laws, Bud and Gloria Henke of Mishawaka, Indiana; sister -in-law, Toni Wheeler (Larry) of Osceola, Indiana; and brother-in-law, Mark Henke (Jane) of Chicago, Illinois. She is also lovingly survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her sweet smile, kind heart, and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A private memorial service for Crystal, led by her great-uncle Regan Giese, was held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Thursday, May 30, followed by cremation. If you so choose, please donate to Metro Ministries in Corpus Christi or First Baptist Church Kingsville in her memory.
