Carolyn Lee Urban

Carolyn Lee Urban (Mimi) was born August 5, 1943, in Clendenin, West Virginia. She went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025, at the age of 82. She has been a resident of Kingsville, Texas, for forty-five years and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Mimi was an exceptional homemaker and prided herself in a well-kept home and the most amazing bowl of vegetable soup. She enjoyed reading, yard work, gardening, and watching the birds at her backyard feeders. She was especially fond of hummingbirds and cardinals and would try to scare away the squirrels and bees stealing their food. She was a dog lover a heart, favoring the dachshund and German Shepherd breeds. Over her lifetime, there were countless weenie dogs that enjoyed the spoils and frequent treats of being one of Mimi's dogs.

Mimi's greatest joy was time with her family and her dearest friends. She spent countless hours with her sister Garnet (Gigi) playing with her beloved grandsons, Colton, Trevor, and Trace. She was an essential part of the "village" raising them. She enjoyed special visits from her daughter, Shane, as well as her daughter (in-law) Jenner (Jennifer), and family from out of town. She rarely missed a salon visit with Rosie Hoosier, one of her closest friends and her beautician. Carolyn felt her best after getting her hair done; it was an important weekly event for her. She also enjoyed visits with her lifelong friends Margie Simpson, and Mitsuko (Mitchie) Joseph. She was a great host; you could always depend on Carolyn for a warm cup of coffee, snacks, and great conversation. She never missed a birthday or special event. Carolyn's love for us all will truly be missed.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her late husband Richard Gene Urban, her father Kermit Olin Hunt, her mother Ollie Inez Underwood, and her sister Inez Evelyn Harkins.

Carolyn is survived by her sisters Garnet Faye Hunt, Phyllis Ann Holbert, Wanda Lou Hunt, brother Kermit Gene (Pat) Hunt, her only son Travis Arthur (Jennifer) Urban, daughter Sandy Shane Urban, grandsons Colton Richard, Trevor Lee, and Trace Arthur Urban, step-daughter Shawn Urban, step-grandchildren Aaron Lay, and Michelle Norlie, and step-great grandchildren Zaydee Meadow, and Chloe Jade, as well as her beloved weenie dog, Charlie.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Delma SanMiguel and Carla M. Zambrano for their heartfelt, compassionate care. Your kindness has been a great blessing.

Services will be held in the Spring of 2026; details to be announced at a later date.
