She always cheered, clapped and yelled for all to hear. She attended every event possible that her sons and grandchildren were a part of. She was always supportive and their biggest fan. She was completely devoted to her family through life, education, parenting, and in their professional lives. She was always happiest when she was with her family, no matter the occasion. Barbara was known as "Granny" and left 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and talked about all the time. She met her future husband Art in Corpus Christi where he was in port while in the Navy. They were married and spent their lives together, eventually settling back in Kingsville to raise their family.Barbara was a wonderful, loving mother and taught her boys the importance of the commitment to excellence, loyalty, family, education, and doing the right thing. Art, Jr., Stacy and Michael would especially like to express their love and appreciation to their mother for always being there. She was always available and always early. Growing up, we never waited on Mom. She always waited on us. Art, Jr. and Michael want to thank Stacy for helping Mom all these years, especially since Dad passed away. For years Barbara helped her mother Ruby run the Lantana Flower Shop, spreading joy and love throughout the community with flowers. Mom always made sure the best flowers were worn by her son's dates to the proms. She later worked for the Kingsville Visitor's Center and enjoyed educating people about all the things Kingsville had to offer. She always enjoyed her pets and taking care of her home and yard and she was quite competitive when she played golf and tennis back in the day. She could be found daily cleaning the leaves from the driveway and was a devoted member of the First Christian Church.Barbara loved her husband Art Boss Sr. and missed him so much every day since he passed in January of 2017. She spent every day of their married life with him. Just as her beloved husband wanted no funeral and no memorial service, she expressed the same wishes.Barbara was filled with true love and dedication to her family which was the most important thing to her in the world. Her family loved her dearly and it was always a fun time when "Granny" was around. It was even more fun when "Granny" would get a margarita or 2 in her. Then it was a party. We will all miss you Mom. We love you with all our hearts and will never miss a day without thinking of you. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and person.
