Barbara Tyra

Barbara Jean Tyra, 84, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2021. She entered this world on May 1, 1937 in Taft Texas, born to Farris Williams and Lillie Clay Williams. Barbara made a proud career for herself as Vice President of Operations at Mercantile National Bank for 25 years. She was also a devoted christian and beloved member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister Shirley Berry and sons Michael Tyra, Sid Tyra, Tim Tyra, and Terry Tyra; as well as 10 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Billy John Tyra and her son Kelly Tyra.

A chapel service will be held on Saturday December 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM  at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary 205 General Cavazos Blvd in Kingsville, Texas. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
