Aurelia C. Zamora, age 102, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 23, 1915 in Pettus, Texas to Benito Contreras and Anastacia Torres Contreras. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bentura Zamora; one daughter, Rufina Resurez; and two sons, Adan Zamora Sr. and Daniel Zamora.
Mrs. Zamora is survived by three daughters, Eva Flores (Guadalupe Sr.) of Robstown, Texas, Elma Trevino (Jose Angel Jr.) of Edcouch, Texas and Olga Sandoval (late Guadalupe Jr.) of Kingsville, Texas; four sons, Santos Samora (late Librada) and Ventura Zamora Jr., both of Bishop, Roberto Zamora (Josefina) and Noe Zamora (Matilde), both of Kingsville; 44 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren, 59 great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel followed by a Prayer Service. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1400 Brookshire Drive, Kingsville. Burial will follow in Bishop, Texas at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
