Auguste "Liz" Nelson

Auguste “Liz” Elisabeth Nelson, 67, passed away on September 13, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on July 25, 1953 in Zweibruecken, Germany to Norbert and Josephine Robatsch. After her marriage to Lawrence on September 24, 1976 she came with him to make a life in his hometown New Orleans in May of 1977. They spent the next 32 years loving their lives in New Orleans, but after surviving Katrina they decided to relocate to Kingsville, Texas. Liz looked forward to being closer to her family. She enjoyed the next 12 years in Kingsville, Texas before her unexpected departure to join our Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Bernard Nelson; sisters, Michaele Robatsch and Gerlinde Harper; and one brother, Norbert Robatsch.

Liz is survived by her sisters, Gettie Moreno (Joseph Cadena) and Rickie Robatsch; brother, Urban Robatsch (Angela); sister-in-law, Manuela Robatsch; extended family in New Orleans; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. A chapel service will begin at 5:30 p.m. that evening. Burial will take place at a later date.
