Antonio "Tony" Loera, Iii.

Antonio “Tony Loera, III. passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 42. He was born on March 15, 1979, to Antonio Loera Jr. and Matilde G. Loera of Kingsville.

Tony was a graduate from H.M King High School and completed a year of college at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. He was a Control Officer for the City of Kingsville Health Department for 11 years. Tony was a participant of the 4-H Club from elementary through graduation from high school. He enjoyed horseback riding, team roping, fishing with family and friends; and played baseball with various leagues, as well as basketball with the Boys and Girls Club; and beautifying his yard. He was an avid reader and football fan; he especially loved the 49ers. Tony was an excellent dancer to various musical genres; his favorite country artist was George Strait.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his niece, and with family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Antonio P. Loera Sr. and Palmira G. Loera; maternal grandparents, Refugio C. Gonzales and Margarita M. Gonzales; cousin, Denise Turrey Jimenez; great-grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his life companion, Leslie Ann Munoz; son, Mateo Angel Munoz; mother, Matilde G. Loera; father, Antonio (Maricella C. Benavides) Loera, Jr.; sister, Amanda Lee (Leaumatuivaa) Loera Ala from Killeen, Tx; niece, Amara Toni Filoi Ala; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Special thanks to Dr. Roberto Morales, and all the staff members from Christus Spohn Kleberg and Shoreline. Special thanks to all prayer warriors that prayed during this difficult time and our all-beloved families and friends.
