Obituary

Anna Belinda Elizondo, 73, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2026, in Kingsville, surrounded by her loving, attentive, and devoted children.

Belinda was born on October 13, 1952, in Alice, Texas to Anselmo “Bigun” and Rose Elizondo. She grew up in Benavides, Texas, where she built lifelong friendships and cherished memories, and graduated from Benavides High School in 1971. Affectionately known as “Pinky,” a nickname lovingly given to her by her daddy, she was truly the apple of his eye — a bond she treasured throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her sister, Anna Maria Mancias; and her brothers, Ricardo and John Elizondo.

Belinda leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted children: Thomas (Leo), Geneva (Jesse), Teresa (Victor), Javier, and Lisa (Nasario). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Jackie, Carissa, Izzy, Junior, Zoe, Christopher, Sierra, Nadia, Saidi, Selina, and Jacob, and a treasured great-grandmother to Elijah, Amira, Averie, Jace, and Aria.

She is also survived by her sister, Anna Elizabeth Hastings (Michael); her brother, Mario Elizondo (Rosie); her brother-in-law, Juan Mancias; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Belinda dedicated many years of her life to the home health industry, a career that reflected her natural compassion and servant’s heart. She began working in the Alice area and later made the selfless decision to move her family to Brady, Texas to help her employer establish a new agency. She lived in Brady for ten years, building both her career and lasting friendships within the community. Eventually, her love for family led her to move to Kingsville, Texas to be closer to those she cherished most.

Belinda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether she was cheering from the stands at her grandchildren’s activities — especially proudly supporting the Academy Lady Lions Softball Team — or gathered around the table during the holidays playing family games, she was happiest when everyone was together.

She enjoyed watching her classic movies, reading, and faithfully cheering on her beloved Los Angeles Rams. One of her most cherished traditions was making pan de polvo with her daughters for her sons to enjoy — a sweet expression of her love that will forever be remembered.

Belinda was a devoted churchgoer whose faith carried her through life’s joys and challenges. Her favorite words, “Thank you, St. Jude,” reflected her deep and abiding faith and gratitude.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Kingsville, Texas; services will conclude after mass.

Belinda Elizondo will be remembered for her unwavering devotion, her gentle strength, and the immeasurable love she poured into her family. Her memory will live on in the traditions she created, the faith she exemplified, and the generations who were blessed to call her Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma.

Honoring Belinda as pallbearers are Christopher Olvera, Jr. Torres, Jacob Castillo, Victor Olvera, Nasario Castillo, Michael Hastings, Brandon Elizondo, and Jordan Longoria.
