Amy D. Gomez

Amy Deanette Gomez, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 56. She was born on August 28, 1969, to Esther and Raymond Gomez, who lovingly nurtured her bright spirit and boundless heart.

Amy was a source of joy and light to everyone who knew her. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs were the warmest, and her love was pure and unconditional. She had a remarkable gift for making those around her feel special and cherished. Amy loved music, family gatherings, casinos, traveling, and any occasion to celebrate life, especially with a margarita — always finding happiness in the simple, beautiful moments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Raymond Gomez, and her sisters Delma Gomez Sierra and Deena Gomez Diaz. Amy’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her sisters, Sandra Diane Hernandez and Dalissa Gomez Garza, and brother-in-law Adalberto Sierra Jr., as well as her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews — all of whom she adored deeply.

Amy’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and joy. Though her time on earth has ended, her gentle spirit and the happiness she brought to others will continue to shine brightly through those who loved her most.

Funeral services will be held on October 11, 2025, at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with a visitation starting at 8:00 am, followed by a holy rosary at 9:30 am, and a funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am. An internment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery to celebrate Amy’s beautiful life and legacy.
