Kleberg County Precinct 4 Constable Amando O. Vidal, 82, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. His unwavering commitment to both his family and his community will never be forgotten. He made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to share his journey. We will carry him in our hearts forever.

He was born on July 2, 1943 to Federico T. Vidal and Trinidad O. Vidal.

Amando was preceded in death by his wife, Marta G. Vidal, his parents, and his brothers: Federico O. Vidal Jr., Roberto O. Vidal, Jose S. Flores Sr., and Rogelio Vidal.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Virginia Vidal, Rita Vidal-Rodriguez (John), Amanda Vidal (David Gonzalez); grandchildren, Marina, Soledad, Reyna, Luna, and Pilar; three great-granddaughters, Ava, Mikaela, and Evelyn; and his one great-grandson his namesake Amando.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery. Amando's funeral will be escorted by the Kleberg County Sheriff's Office.
