Alma A. Arguijo-Hernandez

Alma Arguijo-Hernandez was born on November 5, 1961 and passed away at her home in Kingsville on March 23, 2025.

Alma lived her whole life in Kingsville, Texas, where she worked for many years at car dealerships and served her community through her work with Senior Citizen Services at Kleberg County. She was funny, kind and generous. Alma always had her nails and hair done perfectly, loved leopard print anything, and she was excellent at calling loteria cards with her family. Alma adored and spoiled her dog Tucker, frequently feeding him McDonalds’ cheeseburgers and fajita tacos (without the bun and tortilla, of course).

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Gilberto and Aurora Arguijo; brothers, Arnoldo Arguijo and Rolando Arguijo; and nephew, Gilberto Arguijo, III. She loved all of them deeply and is undoubtedly catching up with all of them and sharing family news.

Alma is survived by her husband, Joe Hernandez; step-children, Christy (Johnny) Campos, Michelle (Tommy) Longoria, Lisa (Steven) Cueva, Joseph Hernandez, and Jason (Jennifer) Hernandez; siblings, Richard Saavedra, Alicia Arguijo, Gilberto (Amy) Arguijo, Jr., and Armando (Patricia) Arguijo; sisters-in-law, Petrita Hernandez and Tonia Castillo; nieces and nephew, Grace (Francisco) Zamorano, Amanda Arguijo, Nina Munoz (Brandon Large), and Rolando Arguijo Jr.(Hailey Guevara); great-nieces and nephews, Olivia Cruz, Ysela Cruz, Isabella Zamorano, and Ezequiel Arguijo; grandchildren, Michael (Destiny) Ruelas, Alex Ruelas, Clayton Hinojosa, Liam Hinojosa, Jacob Hernandez, Isaiah Cueva, Jonah Cueva, Joseph P. Hernandez, and Evelyn Mejia; and great-granddaughter, Raynie Ruelas.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursay, March 27, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. A chapel service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A rite of committal and interment will follow at Riviera Cemetery, Riviera, Texas.
