Alejandro Mosqueda Garza went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2026, leaving cherished memories of his laughter, love, and kindness. Born on December 22, 1954, he was a proud member of the Miller Buccaneers Class of 1973 and served as vice president of the HERO FHA #2 Club during the 1972–73 school year. A gifted athlete and notable Golden Gloves competitor, Alejandro earned recognition for his accomplishments in Corpus Christi, Texas. His dedication, determination, and competitive spirit in the ring reflected the way he lived.
Alejandro was a hardworking man who began his career at Red Carpet Car Wash and later worked in the industrial and construction fields before retiring. Wherever he worked, he readily lent a hand and looked out for others.
Outside of work, Alejandro enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. A true grill master, he was especially known for his barbecue, which brought family together and made gatherings especially memorable. He also made Saturday mornings special by preparing big, delicious breakfasts for his children.
Alejandro was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns and enjoyed staying active as much as he could. He loved music and was a talented harmonica and guitar player. Bighearted and happy-go-lucky, he was considerate, kind, funny, and always mindful of others. He had a gift for making people laugh, using playful expressions that became treasured family memories and inside jokes.
Those who knew Alejandro will remember a loving, kindhearted man with a wonderful sense of humor who never hesitated to help someone in need. Above all, he deeply loved his family and those around him. His legacy lives on in the meals he prepared, the jokes that still bring laughter, and the countless acts of kindness he shared so freely.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo Alaniz Garza and Englantina “Tina” Mosqueda.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Robert Alexander Garza, Brandi Alexandria Garza, and Anastacia (Jose) Alvarez Mendieta; siblings, Eduardo (Paricia) Garza, Erasmo Alaniz Garza, Jr., Benito (Monica) Garza, Israel (Esmeralda) Garza, and Adam (Alisha) Garza; grandchildren, Mark Daniel Zuniga, Alexandria Danielle Zuniga, Maribelle Antonia Mendieta, Marisol Anna Mendieta, and Javier Armando Mendieta; great-grandchild, Ja’Mari Silas Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., followed by inurnment at Chamberlain Cemetery.
