Albert Lee Hinojosa was born on July 9, 1977, to Linda Moreno and Augustin Hinojosa Jr. Albert gained his wings on December 31, 2025, in Kingsville, TX. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 48. Albert was a gentle and caring, who was loved deeply by all who knew him.
Albert worked in construction most of his life. He was employed by Maltby Construction for many years before becoming disabled. Albert loved fishing more than the average person, always ready for a trip to the water. His “luck” for catching was ridiculous, you could always bet that his stringer would have fish on it. The best stories, talks and laughs came from those fishing trips. His other two loves were barbecuing and watching the Dallas Cowboys and during football season, he had the best of both worlds. Albert was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and had Cowboys memorabilia to prove it. Albert will forever be remembered for his love for all things fishing, barbecuing, the Dallas Cowboys and most importantly his family and friends to share it with.
Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Maricela J. Trevino; his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Anita Esquivel; his paternal grandfather, Augustin Hinojosa; and his stepfather, Baldemar Moreno.
He is survived by his three sons, Albert Lee Hinojosa Jr. (AJ), Jason “Rockee” Hinojosa, and Isaac Hinojosa; and one daughter, Lahya Jo Guajardo. He is also survived by his mother, Linda Moreno; his father, Augustin Hinojosa lll; three brothers, Gus Hinojosa, David (Cassandra) Hinojosa, and Alonso Hinojosa; four sisters, Audrey Hinojosa, Rose (Omar) Naranjo, Emma (John) Moreno, and Stephanie (Ervay) Ramos; and three stepbrothers, Balde Moreno, Oscar Moreno, and Eloy Moreno. Albert leaves behind seven grandchildren—Ayveri, Raziel, Ambrielle, Aspen, Rylee, Braden, and Suge—and nineteen nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kingsville TX.
His hard work, dedication and love for his family will continue to resonate through the hearts of all who knew him, along with all the joy and warmth that he brought to their lives.
