Abelino G. Montoya

Abelino G. “Nune” Montoya Jr., 78, passed away on November 21, 2019 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Kingsville, Texas to Abelino Montoya Sr. and Bernalda Garcia. He worked at the Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years. He loved music and dancing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and loved by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parent’s Abelino and Bernalda “Nena” Montoya Sr., two brothers, Antonio Montoya and Alfredo Montoya.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years of marriage Sylvia Montoya, son, Abel (Stephanie) Montoya, son, Victor Montoya; Sisters, Connie (Tim) Marsteller, America Garcia, Dalia (Robert) Isassi, Lupe (Sonny) Lopez, Linda Gonzales, Rosa Montoya, brothers, Joe Montoya and, Hector (Mercy) Montoya. Grandchildren, Roxanne Montoya, Jacob and Alex Montoya, Abelino Montoya, IV, and Nicholas Montoya. Great grandchildren, Ofelia Montoya and Zayden Montoya.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on November 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church.
