James H. Thompson “Porkchop”, age 68, passed away on December 24, 2019 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on November 6, 1951 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to John Ludke and Bobbie Thompson. James worked in the Reserves-Sherriff’s Department for 8 years and as a Sherriff Deputy in Kingsville, Texas for 22 years. He loved fishing and golfing and was always good for a laugh. James was loved and respected by his family and co-workers and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Ludke; mother, Bobbie Thompson; step-father, Elmer Lee “Tom” Thompson; and brother, George Young Thompson.
James is survived by his wife of 47 years, Adela Villarreal Thompson; daughter, Karen Lee Thompson of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Nancy Elizabeth Vasichko (Gary Vasichko) of Houston, Texas; brother, Richard E. Thompson of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Riviera Cemetery.
